August’s Team Leader Event at The View

We hosted our 4th Team Leader event on August 15th.

On August 15th, we hosted our 4th Team Leader event in The View. This event is focused on current VIEW members who own a company or manage a team based here in our co-working space. This event is a way for members to network, catch up and get to know each other over coffee and breakfast, while discussing a topic that can help their business grow. The topic of this event was Staffing Solutions and Employee Engagement.

There were six attendees in total at this event that was held on a beautiful sunny Thursday morning in The View.

Jay Donegan from Grey Dog spoke about how culture is important for staff engagement and retention. He spoke about how busy the job market can be and how finding the right candidate can be a challenge.

Amy Irwin from Conscious Kitchens spoke about being happy in the workplace and finding the ideal candidate who has to be as passionate and productive as you are, mentioning this can have huge benefits to your business. Amy also mentioned how the recruitment culture can be tricky at times to navigate.

Jon Ryan from Holkate Financial Advisors Limited spoke about rewards and making time for staff outside of work. Taking time out for Team events/gatherings. Jon spoke about doing business and running a team together and the challenges that can brought to the workplace. Jon Quoted ‘Work to your strengths’ at the end of the discussion.

We finished with a Q&A session and brief networking chat. Thanks to all who attended!
