2024 in Review: Celebrating our Community & Milestones

As the year comes to an end and the Christmas season is upon us, we want to take a moment to appreciate our journey we have had over 2024.  It’s been an impactful, evolving and inspiring year and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our members! As we head into 2025, we'd like to look back on what this year has taught us and embrace the possibilities of what the new year holds.  

Growth & Expansion  

Early in 2024, we faced the challenge of accommodating the increasing needs of our member companies as their teams expanded. This led to some necessary adjustments, including extending an office, adding new meeting spaces, and even splitting a larger office to create two separate spaces, hitting a major milestone in The View’s overall growth.    

We celebrated The View’s 4th anniversary in June with a summer BBQ. We brought our members together which gave us the chance to reflect on how far we've come since the emergence of this new working culture during the Covid pandemic. It was a wonderful moment to express our gratitude to everyone who’s been a part of this journey and to look forward to even more growth and collaboration in the year ahead. 

Member Events 

The Work Well programme is a series of events that have been designed to establish a strong sense of community. As part of the programme, in 2024 we kicked off our Team Leader event series. The goal of this series was to bring business owners and leaders together to share insights and knowledge on topics, varying between digital transformation, AI, staffing solutions & employee engagement and client relationships.  

We also hosted a very successful Women in Business event in October, where we welcomed external guests to hear from our three brilliant speakers- Michelle O’Keeffe, Mary Jennings and Maria Colgan- on finding a work-life balance. 

On top of this, we hosted monthly informal events including end of month pizza & beers, Ping Pong challenges, summer solstice yoga and a breathwork workshop for World Mental Health Day. Our other events such as 'Bike Week' and ‘World Kindness Day’ also stirred up excitement in the office and brought teams together! 

Our Team Leader and Women in Business events have been great in helping members build a network, while our less formal events provided relaxed opportunities for teams to connect.  

After a successful year, we look forward to nurturing our community in 2025 by focusing on events that add value to our members' workdays and foster collaboration through co-working and community activities. 

Community & Collaboration 

Due to the success of our community building initiatives, not only has it fostered a positive work environment, but it's also created valuable opportunities for business growth. Connecting with members, we have been able to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships that have led to exciting collaborations, built upon trust and loyalty. This was particularly the case when we launched our new website early in the year, it was great to work with B-Wave, one of our member companies and to refocus on our brand image through the website.  

We also started working with Grey Dog, one of our longest standing member companies, on our marketing strategy. We look forward to continuing this partnership and on-going success.  

Additionally, like many businesses we have started to pay closer attention to our sustainability practices. To address this we partnered with Conscious Kitchens, another one of our members in The View, to improve our waste management and encourage members to recycle. Through Amy’s Zero to Landfill project, we are proud to have achieved our goal of utilizing only recycling and compost bins. 

We are looking forward to continuing these partnerships and collaborating with other members in 2025!
