April’s Team Leader Event

On April 25th, we hosted our second Team Leader event. Our Team Leader events are focused on current members of The View who own a company or manage a team based here. It is a networking event for members to knowledge share and catch up on different workplace topics over coffee and breakfast. The topic for this event was digital transformation in various industries and what AI tools and properties are used in your company.

Three new members joined the group for this event - Michelle O Keeffe from Platform 55, Bernard O Deay from Design 23 & Stephen Bent from Reliance Sports Management. Michelle spoke about starting Platform 55 almost three years ago and how AI is becoming more powerful in the workforce. Bernard from Design 23, started his company 5 years ago, and spoke about the benefits of AI in his daily work and how it gives people a better understanding of building projects through planning apps and 3D design. Stephen Bent from Reliance Sports Management spoke about using Chat GPT daily and its influence on his brand and company. He also gave us a small demonstration on his use of Chat GPT and a step-by-step chat through it.

Chat GPT has a paid version but most people use its free version. It covers everything from data codes to inspiration for writing birthday cards. We agreed that Chat GPT was probably the first revolutionary Artificial Intelligence tool we have all seen in recent years and has become the new buzzword!

Jay Donegan from Grey Dog spoke about OTTER.ai and its many uses for controlling and balancing Zoom calls and meeting minutes. Grey Dog also use Conduit AI to allow them to check through their documents to quickly find and reference information.

Catherine Crean from b-wave spoke about programming assistance and coding and how Chat GPT can help solve tricky situations and make life that little bit easier with its rapid response and expertise.

Amy Irwin from Conscious Kitchens spoke about the positives AI can have in the future of recycling and waste management by taking and calculating waste data and letting us know exactly what is being used and what is not.

All in all, Artificial Intelligence got the thumbs up from the majority at the event. Learning about different AI platforms like Chat GPT, ReRender AI, Canva AI and Dux-soup gave us a different insight into what’s happening in the world of digital transformation.

The event was ninety minutes long and ended with a Q&A session. We discussed our next Team Leader event in July and brainstormed ideas that would add value to our members’ co-working experience.

The View is a co-working space focused on well-being and creating connections. Our Work Well programme provides members with the opportunity to meet others across many industries to knowledge share and connect.
