Meet our Member: Cormac Spencer

The meet our member series introduces some of our members at The View. This time we meet Cormac Spencer, from Link Personnel.  

Can you tell us about your work, what you do, and how you came to be?

Link Personnel is a Family Business. We find great candidates for our nationwide client base in areas like Legal, Finance, Pharma, Medical Devices, Administration and more! We were established in the late 1980s. At that time, lots of our candidates were sent to jobs in England, but thankfully, nowadays, we have enough good opportunities to keep people at home. 

What has your co-working experience been like? 

Positive. It’s a nice environment, and after working from home for a while it’s good to be in a busy atmosphere.  

What keeps you well? 

Not answering questions like this! Exercise is the main thing. That, and good sleep.  

What's the best career advice you've received? 

“This is just one small part of a very happy life.”  

What's your favourite book/series/film and why? 

The Road to Wigan Pier, by George Orwell. It’s funny, political, historical and insightful all at once. 

What does the future of work look like for you?

Predictions are difficult, especially when they concern the future! We are operating in a fast-changing environment so, while I can’t pin it down, I know it’s important for us as a business to spot trends and keep on our toes. I’m hopeful that the future will see fulfilling work available to people that will fund a decent, happy life.
